Terms of Service

By using dayink ("the Service") you agree to these terms. We try to keep them readable; if anything's unclear, please tell us.

1. The Service

dayink lets you write a short daily diary entry. We use AI to generate an illustration that accompanies each entry, compose it into a page, and store it for you to look back on. The text you write is yours; we hold it in trust to provide the Service.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK).
  • You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure.
  • One account per person.

3. Acceptable use

Don't write entries that ask for illustrations of minors in any sexual context, of identifiable real people without consent, or of content that promotes self-harm of others. Our moderation pipeline will refuse those entries and redirect you to crisis resources where appropriate.

4. Subscriptions and refunds

  • New accounts start with a 7-day free run — no payment method required. It's a limited free period, not a subscription.
  • To keep using dayink after that, you subscribe. First-time subscribers get a 14-day free trial (payment method required); we charge after the trial ends.
  • You can cancel from Settings → Subscription at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at $4.99/month. Cancel anytime; you keep access through the end of the billing period.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with dayink within 30 days of your first charge (the one that closes the trial), email us at hello@dayink.app and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. Subsequent monthly charges are non-refundable but you can cancel anytime to avoid the next one. EU/UK statutory rights are unaffected.

5. Ownership

You own what you write. We claim a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your entries solely to provide the Service to you. We don't train AI models on your content.

We own the dayink brand, design, and code.

6. Service availability

We try hard but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. Sub-processors (Supabase, fal.ai, OpenAI, Polar) may have outages that affect dayink. We won't be liable for those beyond what's legally required.

7. Termination

You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; we'll give a clear reason in writing.

8. Changes

If we change these terms in a material way, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
